Acrylic Paintings

Painting has been a hobby of mine since I was a teenager. I’ve dabbled in watercolor and oil painting, but I generally stick to acrylic painting. I go through waves where I’m consistent, making pieces weekly… and then I go through droughts where months go by and I don’t even touch my painting materials because I’m engrossed in other projects or work.

Aside from art classes in grade school and one drawing class in college, I am self taught. I took private art classes at Stony Point Art Studio in Ogden, NY for a couple years in high school, but I mostly worked on a project alone and would ask my instructor for assistance as needed. Today, I find inspiration in everyday things and from other artists online and in person; I’ll often see something and say “I can paint that!” then proceed to make an attempt. When trying new techniques or subject matter, I’ll sometimes rely on YouTube video instruction.

Below is a collection of paintings I’ve completed in chronological order starting in high school. More recent work can be found toward the bottom of the page. Some of these were commissioned pieces, but some were created just for fun and are sitting around in my art studio so if something catches your eye, please inquire about the cost! I’m also always down to do commissioned work and to make an attempt at anything, even if I haven't tried it before. Please use the ‘Contact Me’ button above if interested in commissioning work from me.
